Hello every one! Just got the pictures from the first day of school off the camera and thought I would post a few before I forgot to do it. Emerson started 1st grade this year at Prospect Point Elementary, home of the Super Stars. She has come home with a smile on her face since August 23rd... so excited to be on the "big" playground now. If only us adults could find such pleasure in the little things. Campbell is officially a middle schooler... YIKES! He is a member of the 6th grade class at Garrison Middle School, home of the Troopers. He has 7 classes and has transitioned like an old pro. No complaints and always eager to get there in the morning. Keeping track of 7 classes and the homework is going to be a new thing, but we think he is ready for it.
Not much other news around the Schulke household. Jeff finally finished harvest on Monday the 29th of August. Latest and longest harvest in history.(for us, at least). The good thing is it was a great crop and he has had very, very good yields, so I guess that is payback fo the extra time. It's nice to have him back around the house.
Other big news is Campbell is scheduled to "hook up" to his new insulin pump on Monday, September 26 in Spokane. He is very excited and Jeff and I care cautiously optimistic that it will make his life and ours a tiny bit easier. Campbell has been eager to get one from the start and the doctor's finally gave him the Ok this summer to start pursuing it, so now it will be a reality in no time. It's hard to believe that it has been almost a year since he was diagnosed (October 10). Where does the time go?
Hope this finds find everyone happy and healthy. Hope to see everyone some time soon!
