Hello. Thought I would share some photos of the month. Thanks Kara for sharing the first day of school photo's. They grow up so fast. Looking forward to some of Chanda's wedding pictures to be posted. The wedding certainly capped off the month. What a great ending...and beginning!

summer fun

Hello everyone. I wanted to share some of Ewee's softball. Last Sunday I was watching her first game, when a foul ball was hit down first base line where I was setup for some pictures. I retrieved the ball. While I was getting the foul ball, the pitcher pitched again . The batter hit a medium roller to Erin at first base. The batter was left handed and fast. Erin fields the ball and realizes this guy is cookin and might beat her to first base. She races to first and decides to slide to beat the runner. A cloud of dust...a cool play..and runner was ..safe. I was watching the play and not filming. I'm still a rookie at action shots. Missed some terrific action. Next, later in the game a ball is hit sharply to the third baseman...Ewee stretches to field the out, but her lead foot slips and she continues to do the splits. Keeping her eye on the ball she stretches beyond her body to scoop the out. Great play. She did stretch her hamstring muscle. The three pictures I am attaching shows the sequence. I did get this picture. Craig

Coast to Coast

Steve and I are back from our trip coast to coast trip. We walked just over 200 miles across the width of northern England, starting on the coast of the Irish Sea at the town of St. Bees and ending on the coast of the North Sea at Robin Hood's Bay. It took us 16 days to do the actual walk, which covered three national parks (Lakes District Nat'l Park, Yorkshire Dales Nat'l Park and the North York Moors Nat'l Park). We took a little detour off of the usual route to walk through Tebay, too. It's a small village set on the banks of the River Lune with lots of farms and one great pub. We also spent a few days in Edinburgh before and after the walk and, due to a plane delay, ended up having an evening in Dublin as well...bonus! It was a fantastic trip - the terrain and villages were all so varied, the scenery was picturesque, and we met lots of interesting people along the way. Now we're back in NYC living at quite a different pace!
