I haven't commented on Blood Meridian for a reason. I don't like or want to analyze every story I read, striving to find any hidden meanings or the impact on our ids or egos. We all like a particular story for different reasons but why can't it just be good or bad. [ I liked it because-I disliked it because ] I'm a long way from Lit. 101 so reading for me is purely enjoyment not parsing and dissecting the content. I feel like I have a paper due. I liked Blood Meridian. Good pick Tyler. It's depiction of western life at that particular time in our history was interesting, albeit the seedier side. If the Kid lived in our day and age I can picture him as a member of a biker gang or a Crip or Blood. A follower, a sheep who doesn't have to think for himself, just go with the flock. Larry
