Hi everyone! So, Dad suggested that I post a little about what Steve and I have been up to. We just returned from an amazing residency at the Banff Centre, which is in Banff, Alberta up in the Canadian Rockies. The scenery is some of the most beautiful I have ever seen and it was certainly an eventful time. Highlights include: performing the 74-minute long minimalist masterpiece Drumming by Steve Reich, performing the world premiere of a new composition by Alaskan composer John Luther Adams entitled Inuskuit (very exciting), then performing it again out in the wilderness (even more exciting), and meeting lots of talented colleagues who share the same weird obsession!
